Tradition. 1st Post Due by Day 3. Eliot’s “Tradition and the Individual Talent” is one of the most important essays about poetry written in the last 100 years. Specifically regarding Yeats, Auden, Eliot, Thomas— considering Hulme—what can you infer (conclude) about poetics of the Romantic and Victorian poets influence on the poets of the 20th Century? Name at least one poem from each era to substantiate any differences and/or similarities that you infer and explain the implications of their messages with the context of the 20th Century. For example, you might speak about how Yeats’ works was inspired by one of the Romantic and Victorian poets in content, construction, style, tone, diction, etc.
